Southland Orchards Joint Venture
Southland Orchards Joint Venture started in 2019 with the acquisition of it single large scale property on Billing Road in the Bay of Plenty. This property was quickly transformed from a dairy farm into a 73 hectare orchard and has set a new standard for the quality of contouring and land development in the industry.
Proudly boasting the full orchard area as the Sungold variety and crops commencing with the 2022 harvest this property is primed to deliver premium results on it magnificent canvas!
With a diverse Board of Directors to deal with the considerations that exist in our industry, Southland Orchards Joint Venture holds a group governance structure that creates a dynamic culture and a commitment to delivering top results every day. Our roadmap to success is hands-on, focusing on foundational work and the small things that make a big difference in the life of an orchard. We consider the people that work on the orchard as family and have a big heart for their success and the benefit we can provide in the wider community.

Baygold Orchards Limited Partnership
Baygold Orchards Limited Partnership, started in 2007 with the purchase of The Coast orchard. This unique pocket of land by the sea is prime early start kiwifruit country and has expanded in recent years to become more than 60 hectares of Sungold orchard.
The business also owns the Whitiroa orchard which has been slowly developing since 2011 and after a journey as a pumice quarry is now boasting a plantable area of around 35 hectares of the Sungold variety.
It is fair to say that Baygold Orchards Limited Partnership is flourishing as a horticulture haven with great harvest results and very strong productive outlook. These results don’t come by accident but with a dedicated team of Baygold people tending these orchards and putting in the hard work to ensure the business propers!
These orchard blocks are an example of the fantastic New Zealand kiwifruit story. Our industry delivers large harvests of fresh fruit to consumers globally, providing job opportunities, boosting local economies, providing exemplary shareholder returns and enabling communities around the country to thrive.
